PREPARE THE DETAILS. KEEP THE DAY ORDINARY.
NNAT test-day checklist
The school’s instructions are the authority for arrival, materials and administration. Use this checklist to confirm the practical details early and keep the day calm.

Several days before
- Confirm the edition, assigned level, testing date and location.
- Check arrival and collection times, including the full session rather than only working time.
- Ask whether the test will use paper or a device and what students should bring.
- Contact the school about approved arrangements through its usual process.
- Find out who will explain the report and when results are expected.
The evening before
Keep the usual meal and sleep routine as much as practical. Prepare any requested materials and check the school notice again. Avoid a long new practice set that turns the evening into a high-pressure rehearsal.
A simple message for the child
Avoid promising an admission outcome or describing one test as a judgment of the child’s worth. A calm, concrete message is easier to act on.
Questions about administration
Ask the school about navigation, allowed materials and how students request help with directions. Do not assume that a website’s practice interface has the same rules as the official delivery system. The published working time is 30 minutes; your school supplies the actual appointment schedule.
After testing
Give the child room to talk without trying to reconstruct secure test questions. When the official report arrives, read the score labels and ask the school how it uses the information. Our score guide explains why practice percentages are different from official scores.
